Description

The Blake Drill is a straightforward yet effective exercise widely used in USPSA and other practical shooting disciplines to improve target transitions and split times.

Named after legendary shooter Blake Miguez, the drill focuses on engaging three targets with two shots each in rapid succession, emphasizing speed and accuracy.

Set up three targets spaced a yard apart at a distance of 7 to 10 yards. On the start signal, draw and fire two shots at each target, transitioning smoothly between them. The challenge lies in maintaining consistent accuracy while minimizing transition times between targets.

The Blake Drill is ideal for developing your ability to quickly and accurately engage multiple targets, a critical skill in competitive shooting. Regular practice helps improve sight acquisition, trigger control, and the smoothness of transitions, all key factors in reducing overall stage times.
